We are delighted to invite you to the celebration of our marriage
After much consideration, we decided on Lago Maggiore for our big day! Whether you're coming from within the country of Italy or across the Atlantic, we are honored to have you join us on our wedding day.
Dress code:
We recommend men wear formal business attire, not black in color, with a tie (no bow ties, please, as we reserve that for the groom), and women wear simple yet formal wedding attire.
Modesty is the custom—please, no cut-outs or open/back shoulder/cleavage inside the church. Due to cultural considerations, the bride and groom ask that female guests refrain from wearing red, black, purple or white dresses.
Our Story
Once upon a time, a Texan and an Italian met in a taxi. She was across the ocean, and he was far from home.
Their story took five countries (the United States, Italy, India, the Phillippines, and the United Arab Emirates). That, plus a taxi cab and a few more flights over the Atlantic, brought them together.
In summary, eight years ago, two people from different cultures, continents, and languages fell in love. We like to think it was destiny.
Although not the chosen location for the wedding celebration (y'all will love it just as well, that much is assured), Nicolò proposed on a bright and happy morning in Capri.
Getting There
By Car
Approximately 1 hour from Milan, Italy
Flying In?
There are 3 airports to choose from.
We recommend Malpensa (MXP), Linate (LIN), or Bergamo (BGY) all are approximately an hour from both the ceremony and the reception location.
Where to Stay
Siria, Nicoló, and the wedding party will stay at the Grand Hotel Des Iles Borromees.
Please look at the hotel mentioned above and any of the surrounding hotels. Please note: transportation to and from the airport and to and from our host hotel to the church and reception will be provided for those flying in only. Thankfully, there are many hotels and Airbnb's within 5-minute walking distance and a 10-30 minute cab ride from the host hotel to fit any budget.
From the Ceremony to the Reception
It takes approximately 30 minutes to drive from Church Santi Martiri to Rocca di Angera. Please let us know by May 20th if you need transport to and from the Ceremony to the Reception location. Thank you.
